Sowing and Reaping

Selected quotes from the Bible about sowing and reaping:

Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. (Psalm 126:5)

Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. (Hosea 8:7)

Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love. (Hosea 10:12)

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. (Matthew 6:26)

One sows and another reaps. (John 4:37)

What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body. So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. (1 Corinth 15:35-44)

Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. (2 Corinth 9:6)

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:7-8)
